20 Favorite Blog Posts From 2017

Up until the summer, I was blogging seven days a week, every single week. Even now, with five posts a week, a lot of content is posted on my blog every year and sometimes posts get lost in the mess of it all. So, to make your lives easier, I've decided to round up my absolute favorites from 2017. If you missed out on them, never fear, for you can catch up now. And if you've already read them, well, here's a chance to read them again! And also like, thanks for reading in the first place! You the real MVP.

  1. What I Learned from College because I remember feeling really accomplished after writing this post. It wasn't so much because of the content (though I do like the post itself), but because it felt really, really good to start talking about college in the past tense. Still one of my greatest and most surprising accomplishments.
  2. Orange You Glad I Didn't Say... because this is still one of my favorite outfit posts on the blog, ever.
  3. My Real Thoughts While Getting Ready in the Morning because who doesn't love candidly honest posts?
  4. Confession: I'm Super Type A because I am Type A and I occasionally avoid talking about the intricacies of my personality on the internet, but this is real, this is me. Move aside, Mitchie Torres.
  5. Navigating College as an Introvert because, again, honesty is the best policy. This was what I "struggled" with in college, though struggle seems like a harsh and dramatic word for it.
  6. On Having Motivation During Finals Week, Avoiding Hangovers, and More Advice from a College Grad because it might be one of the first posts that I have written that felt truly me
  7. Reflecting On Old Blog Posts because it's nice to go back and look at your old work to see how far you've come.
  8. Weighing In On Liquid Lipsticks because this is the most in-depth I've ever talked about lipstick probably ever.
  9. Did Glossier Super Pure Serum Save My Skin? because this might have been the most research I've put into a blog post. Also, this product is the bomb dot com.
  10. Breaking Down Actual Outfits I Wore to Class in College because I like more laid back posts like this and this is truly what I wore to class and work when I was in college.
  11. Why I Wanted to be The Busiest because I find the idea of competing the be the busiest silly, even if I used to participate in the game for far too long.
  12. Autumn Leaves Falling Down Like Pieces Into Place because I love hanging out with internet friends and this day was special.
  13. Missing Friends on a Different Coast because sometimes you just want to talk about how much you miss your best friends on the internet for everybody to see.
  14. What Does the Word 'Cool' Mean? because the word "cool" is kind of stupid and empty and meaningless and yet I use it to describe too many things.
  15. Plastic Bags and Pizza Boxes | NYC Street Diaries because, again, I love laid back posts and photos. Not everything is perfect and done up 100% of the time.
  16. Cheaper by the Dozen because this post is, hands down, the most personal post I've ever written. It was also the hardest to write. I'm still beyond grateful for the feedback this post received.
  17. I Don't Know About You, But I'm Feeling 22 because I've been waiting five years for this song to be applicable to my life.
  18. What They Don't Tell You About Post Grad Life because people don't talk about the hard parts of post grad life enough.
  19. I Started a YouTube Channel? because I finally did something I've had on my mind for over five years. Better late than never, right?
  20. Being the Face Behind the Blog because it's okay to be honest and a little bit vulnerable.

  1. I love this! I feel like as writers/bloggers we are often sharing other people's work that we liked, which is great and supportive and we should definitely continue doing it, BUT it's also important to share our own and be proud of it, so I really liked this list! I especially like your post on navigating college as an introvert because it happens to mirror my own experiences as well.

    1. So true! Sharing other people's work is super important but a little self promo never hurt nobody! I remember being really proud of that post so I'm so happy you enjoyed/related to it! <3

  2. I love this so much! And, for the record, your Cheaper by the Dozen post is one of my favorites that you've done this year. I 100% know how hard that situation is, but I commend you for making a beautiful, raw post out of it.
