Float Down Like Autumn Leaves

Let's just address the elephant in the room...MY BLOG LOOKS DIFFERENT! I've been itching for something new for a while now but I haven't been able to find the perfect choice for me. I'm very much the type of person who likes to switch things up. #CommitmentIssues, am I right? I changed up my Instagram theme recently which has been the most liberating thing I have ever done in my 21 years on this earth. So, it seemed pretty fitting that I change up a few other things around these parts.

All jokes aside, welcome to the new blog that is really just the same blog with a face lift. It just got a little nose job and maybe some botox too. Okay, and some highlights, but it's still the same on the inside!

I know it's only early September but honestly, it's fall. I put the heat on in my car on Saturday night and nearly wore a jacket to a concert on Friday. The calendar might not indicate that it's fall but I can feel it in my heart.

It's shocking, I know, but I left the house this summer. It was a rare moment, especially since I saw Bleachers Friday night (forking amazing guys, FORKING AMAZING. Go see Bleachers ASAP). I'm not much for socialization two days in a row. Not my favorite thing. HOWEVER, there was no way in HELL I was going to turn down the trip to do the ultimate fall things mashed all into one day. Or at least, be surrounded by all of the fall things.

I used to come to Becker Farms as a kid for haunted hayrides and apple picking and maybe pumpkins? It was six million years ago and I can barely remember what happened last week (thank god for this blog and Instagram). This time around, no apples were picked, but I did watch a grape smashing competition? Anyone ever seen the scene with Lucille Ball? Me either, but when my mom asked me if I wanted to go, she talked about some scene she was in where she was smashing grapes with her feet. I probs just nodded and smiled and agreed to go because...again...FALL AESTHETIC!

I pretty much always dress like some sort of mom who's trying to be hip or artsy, so I channeled Mama Fran for this casual day look. The sweater is a few years old from H&M and the jeans are by BDG (find 'em at Urban or second hand like I did). I stole the loafers from my mom's room (SEE, mom look!!!) Also, a little throwback to this Kate Spade cross body bag that I accidentally broke. It's wounded but it still works, so we're still in business.

Anyways, this was just my little way of transitioning this blog into fall and as a welcome into my new look for the blog. We've got some fun stuff coming up in the next month or so! I'm going to New York at the end of the month to see Prince Harry Styles and to hang around the city I'm trying very desperately to make my home. Then I've got a little trip for a wedding and friend time in Cali and then I'm back to New York once again. So...FUN STUFF! Finally!

What're you looking forward to in fall? Any fun trips planned?
