Met Gala 2016 Fashion

Look, I probably have no right to talk about fashion. I'm currently sat up in bed with a pair of sweatpants and crewneck sweatshirt donning my school's colors and logo. There is a massive Viking face on the front of the sweatshirt. However, isn't that what the internet is for? Trolling people just because we can?

All jokes aside, the fashion on the Met Gala red carpet was disappointing. It was weird because I thought a lot of people looked really great (and a select few who, well, didn't), but the looks seemed so safe. The theme was generally interpreted as technology = silver, and thus, dozens of silver sparkly and metallic gowns were thrusted upon us. There wasn't anything wrong with the dresses (besides those select few from earlier), but, you know, there could've been a few more adventurous choices.

So overall, there were a lot of great looks. There were very few people that I was side-eyeing, but the general theme was underwhelmed for me. Plenty of pretty dresses (with equally as radiating people, sheesh), but nothing that made me super drool. The closest I got was with Jourdan Dunn, Lupita N'yongo and Claire Danes. But hey, it happens! Plenty of people looked incredible in their dresses and tuxedos so really, isn't that what mattered? As long as they felt good in it, who cares what the girl wearing an ensemble entirely consisting of "sweat" wear.

What were your favorite looks from the Met Gala?
