More Finals Week Tips

Finals week is almost upon us (mine starts Monday!) and my theory is that there is no such thing as too many lists of tips that can prepare you for something as terrible as finals week has the potential to be. These have less to do with studying and more to do with you.

1. Study outside, if possible

If the weather permits it, find a nice shady and cozy spot on campus. Bring everything you need to study and enjoy the change in atmosphere! Sometimes just a little change in location can spark the little extra inspiration to get the wheels in your brain moving. Plus, who doesn't love a little fresh air and sunshine?

2. Stay healthy and hydrated

Just because it's finals week doesn't mean that you should forget all about keeping yourself hydrated and well nourished. Stress eating might be inevitable, but try to not let yourself fall out of a normal eating schedule. There's nothing wrong with taking periodic breaks from studying to eat your normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Staying hydrated is also very important! Keep a water bottle with you at all times to ensure that you don't get dehydrated! Your health physical health is just as important as your mental health during finals week!

3. Pace yourself

Do not feel like you have to do everything RIGHT NOW or in the moment. If you don't wait until the last minute to cram, you can afford to take little breaks here and there if you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or like you're just not retaining the information any more. There is no harm or foul in needing a break!

4. Remember that you are Beyoncé

This is just something to live by every day. WWBD? Beyoncé would study her butt off and tell herself that she is more than capable of acing every final thrown at her.

When do your finals begin?
