Nars Cactus Flower Cream Blush

I went to two different Sephora's and two Nars counters until I found this little nugget of wonder. At the Nordstrom on Michigan Ave. in Chicago, I got the Nars cream blush in Cactus flower! This is my first Nars product. I mainly got it because Meghanrosette and Sarahbelle93x rave about it on Youtube all the time and I haven't been able to get my hands on it until now, probably a year later. Better than never, right?

I have always marveled at Nars's packaging from afar. The matte black is SO sleek and the rectangular shape is really nice. The mirror is reasonably sized as well so if you wanted this for on the go makeup application, it would be handy.

The color in the pan is a muted red with golden shimmer in it. If you're worried about the gold, it isn't overwhelming. It actually gives you a nice glowing effect much like a highlighter would.

Since it is a cream blush, the wear time was a lot longer than most of my powder blushes (except for my Tarte Amazonian clay blush---that stuff does not budge!) since it sets into your skin. I don't set this with anything and I got long day of wear time.

If you're worried about not being able to pull of the bright color, don't! If you apply it just right, with a light hand and blend it out enough, it will give you a nice flush with a little bit of gold to make you look like a goddess.

I got this for $28 dollars at Nordstrom but you can find it at some Sephoras.
