Things I'm Loving

1. Glory Days by Little Mix

I cannot believe that Glory Days came out two weeks ago and this is the first chance I've gotten to talk about it. I considered making a whole post on it, but I decided that I could be patient and wait for my next Things I'm Loving post to go off. As horrible as 2016 has been (I hate that Kylie Jenner was right), this album saved the year for me. Or at least it created a happy little pop bubble for me to live in for the last month or so of the year. I love Little Mix with my whole heart and I would be very interested in joining the group ASAP. They're coming to Cleveland in February with Ariana Grande. Now is my chance...

I digress, this album is just the pop goodness that we all needed. It's their fourth studio album and as much as I love and adored Get Weird, Glory Days just jumped to the top of my Little Mix faves. I literally cannot pick a song on the album that is my favorite because they're all bops. Like, the ultimate bops that keep you moving and grooving and all of that cool, hip lingo stuff that the kids are using nowadays that I've conveniently missed out on. Nothing makes me feel as good as Little Mix songs, besides maybe Little Mix performances because then I get to see their lovely faces all happy on stage.

To listen to: "Shout Out To My Ex," "Power," "No More Sad Songs," "Private Show," and "Beep Beep."

2. DNCE by DNCE

DNCE's eponymous debut album came out the same day as Glory Days, giving me more than enough new music to be consumed entirely by. I've been in love with Joe Jonas since 2005, so it's truly no surprise that over a decade later, I'm still just as in love with his gorgeous, talented face. DNCE is such a fun project that puts a smile on my face every time I see the foursome on his Snap stories. DNCE is a fun conglomerate of wacky and quirky sounds and Joe Jonas' falsetto that had me weak in the knees back in his Jobros days. It's just a whole lot of fun packed into 14 songs.

To listen to: "DNCE," "Cake by the Ocean" (if you haven't for some reason done this already), "Doctor You," "Zoom," and "Unsweet."

3. Smashbox Always on Matte Liquid Lipstick in Out Loud

I know I've talked about the liquid lipstick in Chillzone, but now it's time to hop to the opposite side of the color spectrum. While Chillzone is a very cool toned purple tinted grey, Out Loud is the perfect warm, rusty red shade for this time of year. Did I specifically buy it because it matched my rust Jil Stuart cape? Yes, yes I did. But I also bought it because I didn't have a color even remotely similar to it because while it's got a tinge of red, it also has a hint of orange and brown. All of the facets of the color come together to form this beautiful tawny, russet shade. It has the same lovely formula too. It's not too lightweight where it wears off, but it's also not so heavy that it settles awkwardly on your lips and never quite dries. Even when I eat, the only wear happens directly on the center of my lips and not much else. If I didn't have every lipstick shade imaginable (seriously...it's an issue), I would buy every single color because I love the formula of these liquid lipsticks so much.

4. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

I briefly talked about this product in my winter skincare routine earlier this week. Plot twist: I still love it. I've only had it for a week or so, but I think it's dramatically changed my skin in such a short period of time, especially since other products have taken much longer to make my skin react to them. It's essentially just calamine, salicylic acid and acne-zapping ingredients all in one little bottle. You apply the pink sediment to your acne spots before you go to bed and it dries them up over night. And like, actually dries them up overnight, not just leaves a little dry patch of product on your face with the zit still underneath. I had a huge zit on my chin two days ago and after one night, it dramatically shrunk and today it's gone completely. I've heard amazing things about this product for years and I'm actually mad that it took me this long to finally try it out. Sigh. I've been missing out!

What have you been loving lately?
