It's the Most Wonderful Time of The Year, Part Two

Nothing can bring me down during fashion week, and the incredible runway shows haven't let me down all week. There are too many of my favorites to name, but I really enjoyed shows from The Row, Tommy Hilfiger, Rebecca Minkoff, Nanette Lepore, Lacoste, Rag and Bone, Carolina Herrera, and Diane von Furstenberg.

It's still pretty warm in Cleveland, so it's not too torturous to look at these beautiful Spring/Summer collections! In fact, as much as I love everything about fall, I'd like to soak up these next few weeks of summer and sunshine before I fully delve into deep berry lipsticks, riding boots, and knitted scarves up to my chin.

I want to start off with The Row, because the entire show was loose silhouettes that still manage to flaunt the best parts of our bodies and colors that aren't typically associated with Spring (see: navy, burnt orange, deep gold).

Nanette Lepore utilized the quintessential bright spring colors and patterns that totally sent back a few months. It was so relaxed, right down to the messy bun, and would be something I would kill to sport on Spring Break somewhere infinitely more exotic than my home.

The underlying floral theme of Carolina Herrera's collection was evident, but not overwhelmingly so, not even with a massive and full skirt (anybody else notice the equally as large pockets? I need it now). The pieces were simple, yet extremely elegant, something a seasoned designer like herself seemed to accomplish with ease.

Diane von Furstenberg's collection was not one that was lacking prints, that is for sure. From stripes to florals to ginghams, this collection kept each look fresh and cool, each pop in its print rather than a shocking silhouette.
