Life Updates!

Hi everybody! I feel like it's been a while since I've done a nice long chat about, well, life. Hope all of you have survived another Halloween and are enjoying the first day of the Best Month Ever. November is always a great month for me, what with my favorite holiday and my birthday and just the general brisk weather in the Northeast...er, I mean, Midwest. I don't know if I'll ever get used to saying that while I'm here in Cleveland!

Over the past week I had this sort of revelation that I wasn't whole-heartedly in love with my major anymore....and by my major, I mean my second major, Spanish. I love the language and the culture and am still very interested in making my way back to Spain at some point one way or another, but I just didn't want to pursue it as a major anymore. It makes me very stressed and really takes a lot out of me. However, since I still do love it, I kept it on as my minor and I feel so much better about it. My advisor is so great as well and always eases my worries every time I see her. It's so nice to have that kind of support!

I know I've mentioned this in a post or two recently (or maybe I haven't? My apologies if I'm misquoting myself), but I'm going to New York for the long Veteran's Day weekend. I'm leaving Cleveland on Friday morning and have an overnight bus back Tuesday night from New York. I've got family there that I'm meeting up with and I'm very excited to see them all again!

This year, after a lot of consideration (aka like on hour after getting inspired), I decided that I'm going to attempt to participate in NaNoWriMo. For those of you who don't know what this is, basically, it's National Novel Writing Month. The goal is to write a 50,000+ word novel throughout the month of November. I am so excited to try to do this, you have no idea. Writing is my favorite thing in the world and I love all kinds of it. Blog posts, poems, tweets (yes, trying to craft 140 character statements is fun to me!), and even stories of any length are fun for me to write and the fact that the whole month of November is going to be dedicated to solely writing? Sign me up! I'll let you guys know how I'm doing as I go and if I need a little extra motivation, I'll be sure to let you know as well ;-)

Last but not least, I've been having some serious desire to change my hair. I don't think I could ever go dark, but Meghan Rosette posted a picture of her new hair cut and color and I think it looks INCREDIBLE. I'm seriously considering sending this picture to my lovely, lovely hair stylist for my appointment in November. What do you think? Can I pull off this shade of blonde? I normally just do highlights, but I don't know, there's something about this color and length that is really inspiring me...
