The Hand-Me-Down Vintage Denim Shirt

Apparently, this shirt is a family heirloom.

I nicked this oversized denim button-up from my mom's clothes a couple of weeks ago in hopes of recreating this look, but alas, I just didn't succeed because I am not a million feet tall like Gigi Hadid and even if my entire closet is turtlenecks, I don't have one that would work the same way. Regardless, I still wanted to wear this shirt, so I switched up my plans and took a simple route.

When my mom saw what I was wearing when we met up at lunch, she laughed and pointed out that it was a shirt she was wearing in a photo with her parents years before I was born and that it wasn't even her shirt to begin with. So, who knows how old this shirt is. All I know is that it previously belonged to my uncle and then my mom. I'm declaring it an heirloom. Whats more precious and valuable than a Gap denim shirt?

I always feel so weird when I stuff my legs into skinny jeans nowadays. There used to be a time where I only used to wear skinny jeans and refused to even consider a boyfriend jean. Now I spend half of my time in mom jeans or kick flares loving the loose fitting pant life. Felt a little strange walking around in these black Hudson skinnies, a very foreign feeling indeed.

It's also become increasingly clear that my topic of conversation today is...not very substantial. Should I be more educational? More entertaining? Are my outfits enough? Blogging is weird, guys.

That's all she wrote, folks. For some reason, it's been a long, tiring week, but we'll be back to our regular scheduled programming on Monday with a post that is hopefully more informative and entertaining than me trying and failing to recreate one of my favorite Gigi Hadid outfits. You win some, you lose some! Unless you're the Cleveland Browns and then you just lose some.

Shirt: Gap? Maybe?
