1. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

The first time I put this mascara on after purchasing it, I almost cried because I thought I had wasted 20-something dollars on a mascara that just made my eyelashes look horrible. It took me a few applications to get used to the brush and the formula. Once that happened, this mascara became my absolute favorite of the year. It gives me similar results to my beloved YSL Shocking Mascara and even makes them look comparable to my Benefit They're Real mascara. All hail Too Faced!

2. YSL Lipstick in Fuchsia in Rage

This was my post-semester end gift to myself, a nice little reward for surviving my first year of college. I picked it up on a whim at Sephora because I knew I wanted a YSL lipstick, but I assumed I wanted a muted pink or a red. However, upon first spotting this purple shade in the tube, I swatched it on my hand and immediately purchased it. I can't even count the number of times I've worn this lipstick (I wore it just yesterday). It transcends seasons and occasions. It's glossy and smooth, but lasts a fairly long time considering these characteristics. When I start having disposable income again, the first thing I'm going to do it buy another one of these lipsticks.

3. MAC's Painterly Paintpot

Sort of a boring favorite, but this is my all time favorite eyeshadow base. I've had this for YEARS (don't ew, my eyes are fine) and I haven't even hit the bottom of the jar. It's creamy, but thick enough to keep shadows adhered to your eyelid. If you want to ensure flawless blending, tap a little translucent powder on it afters to create a less tacky base that will still grip eyeshadows, but will allow for seamless blending with different creases and outer lid colors.

4. Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Chocolate

Life without this product was significantly worse. On days when I don't want to fill in my brows but still want them more defined, swiping on this tinted brow gel was a time and lifesaver. Sometimes, I'll even used it to seal in my freshly filled in brows to ensure that it will stay all day (if I need them too).

5. Benefit's Rockateur Boxed Blush

I wasn't going to buy this blush when I first saw that it released. The shimmery rose gold color was not appealing in the slightest. Once I had seen Amarixe's review of it, I knew immediately that I needed it. The color wasn't the intimidatingly shimmery one that was seen in the box. It was a healthy rose glow that made your face warm and alive. An added bonus is the fact that the Benefit boxed blushes smell incredibly sweet!

6. Aussie Hairspray

Another sort of boring favorite, but I've gone through at least four or five of these hairsprays this year.  It smells great, holds my curls without making them crunchy, and lasts for a very long time.

7. Neutrogena Moisturizer

My skin finally started appreciating Neutrogena again, which was great for my bank account. I had been using an Origins moisturizer that was great, but broke the bank every time I had to repurchase. I now use that as my special occasion moisturizer, as my Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer does the job for much less. And, it doesn't irritate my skin after I've exfoliated either!

8. Smith's Rosebud Salve

My lips have been getting grossly chapped this year and as an avid lipstick wearer, that just doesn't fly with me! In combination with my Lush lip scrub, this thick lip balm made my lips lipstick ready when needed.

9. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer

Contouring my face is one of my favorite steps of my makeup routine (right below eyebrows, c'mon) and I can't imagine contouring with anything but this bronzer. I've had it for over a year now and I'm still chipping away at it, though I have hit pan. It's the perfect matte bronzer that doesn't make me look too orange or muddy. Plus, it smells amazing.

10. Origins Concealer

This concealer stays on all day. Both my mom and I use it (and she hates expensive makeup, so that's a testament to how great it is) on a daily basis and have only had to repurchase once or twice. You don't need that much to cover up problem areas or dark circles, so the tube can last you anywhere between 6 months to a year. I swear by this product. I don't think I could live without it!
