What I Learned From NYFW Is....

If you didn't say that like Spongebob would say "what I learned in boating school is..." I will only be slightly disappointed, but disappointed nonetheless.

1. I need to be there next year. This may be relevant for some, or not relevant at all, but I need to be in New York during Fashion Week at some point next year. It could just be me standing outside of a show, I really don't care. I just want to be there for it in any way that I can.

2. White after labor day is okay. In fact, white on white is okay after labor day. This is particularly exciting because it's generally nice enough to wear white jeans well into fall and near the beginning of spring and I hate that there was a rule in the first place! Wear white whenever you want to wear white!

3. Layers on layers on layers. Spring is a great time to layer, but holy hell, these ensembles, while expertly styled, had upwards of four different parts. And yet they still managed to not look too overwhelming. How do you do it, Fashion Week Wizards?!

4. Bill Cunningham is still ridiculously awesome...and will continue to be awesome for, probably, the rest of eternity.

5. Streetwear is a thing. Whether it is a good or bad thing, I don't have an answer for.
