STEP ONE: Pick out bold lipstick, whether it be red, plum, black, purple, or even neon pink.
STEP TWO: Exfoliate your beautiful little lips and apply a lip balm to make sure the lipstick will go on smoothly.
STEP THREE: Apply your lipstick of choice. Use lipliner if you so desire.
STEP FOUR: Go do whatever you need to do for the day. Go shopping, go to class, or stay on the couch all day and watch movies. You don't need to have a certain occasion to wear lipstick.
I'm sick of seeing all of these "Trends Men Hate" articles all over the internet. Many list bold lipstick, or any lip product in general because it will get all over them or whatever bullshit excuse they have. If you want to wear lipstick, you should wear lipstick. Even if every single person in the entire world says that they don't like it, if you can look into your mirror and admit that you look pretty damn fine, then you go out and wear that lipstick loud and proud. You don't need a special occasion to break out a red lipstick, and you don't need to feel insecure about standing out. If somebody is intimated by you because of the color of your lips, then that is their fault.
