Street Diaries: What Have I Been Up To?

So, I took a break which we talked about on Monday. Now I guess I should probably at least talk about some things that I was up to while I subsequently took a two-week break off of the blog. Honestly, I've just been enjoying season 15 of The Voice and season 3 of This Is Us because I love crying and emotions! Can't forget about The Good Place as well! Or Shane Dawson's Jake Paul series, the YouTube series that I told myself I wouldn't watch because...it's Jake Paul...but alas, here I am, five parts in and begging for part 6.

I haven't only just been watching TV and YouTube though. I mean, it is what I do a majority of my mornings and evenings, but I have other stuff going on too! Kind of! I've just been trying to shoot a lot in my free time so I don't run out of content for this little ole blog and Instagram. Keeping some photos in the arsenal, you know the drill! Ain't nobody want to be scrambling last minute to put together content!

I went to the Her Campus x Foster Graham collaboration with Kat Graham at Rosé Mansion a couple of weeks ago and it was just as pink as I would have wanted. I've been dying to go to Rosé Mansion, so I was beyond stoked to have the opportunity not only to go, but to not have to dish out money for the ticket because...your girl is #broke. I went with Gabby Whiten and it was a night full of Instagram moments...and then more Instagram moments...and then a lot of rosé. What more could you expect from an Instagram trap in midtown? In all fairness, it was actually very well done and calling it a trap is probably unfair to let's just call it rooms upon rooms of well-curated, very pink, very fun Instagram moments!

Next up on the agenda oddly enough was Chicago. My team had a work trip to Chicago for an event similar to the one we did in Los Angeles back in June and it was nice being back in one of my favorite cities in the midwest (we all know Cleveland takes the cake though). We were there for only a few days and didn't get a chance to really explore the city. Luckily, I've been before, so I was just enjoying a tiny break from New York City, even if this Chicago trip was just about as stressful as being in the city 24/7 is. I still love it though, I still love it!

We ate at Milk & Honey on Saturday morning and Yolk on Sunday morning and honestly? I've never been more stuffed from breakfast in my life. You don't get this in New York City! Or maybe you do and I just keep falling into the avocado toast trap on those rare occasions that I eat breakfast out and don't just eat a bagel and have some iced coffee at home to #SaveThatCash. The world may never know...

The actual event was on Sunday afternoon, so most of the weekend was spent prepping for the event, packing gift bags, picking up LaCroix (hashtag sponsor me please), and just all around prepping for the day. There's only a tiny bit of pressure for things to go well when it's only your teams' second event like that. Just a tiny bit. Super minuscule. Nobody's expecting anything, right? ;)

I also finally got to hang out with Gigi from Just Gigi, who was kind enough to help my team out at the event. Who doesn't love meeting up with online pals after years of mutually following each other? Shoutout to this Chicago trip for making things happen!

There's a lot going on in my life right now that's been uh, hashtag stressing me out but we'll cross that bridge if it ever comes. Or maybe we won't! Regardless, my parents were here last weekend and honestly, I needed that. There's nothing like spending a weekend with your mom and dad in Central Park where the LEAVES ARE CHANGING AND IT FEELS LIKE FALL. Can you tell I'm a little excited about the fact that I saw some orange and brown leaves in the park? Just a little? I thrive in fall, what can I say? It's the moooooost wonderfullll tiiiiiiiiime of the yeaaaaaaaaaar. Don't even try to tell me it's Christmas, no matter what the song says. It's fall and everyone knows it!

And that's what you missed! So actually, really nothing, I just wanted an excuse to use these photos somewhere. What can I say? I'm a simple girl who likes to share her photos but doesn't want to spam Instagram with a bunch of the same.

  1. I'm the same way with Youtube & TV, I'm never not watching it! The Rose Mansion is on my list of places to go the next time I'm in New York! Looks so fun.
