Street Diaries: An Evening at the Fair

Usually, my "Street Diaries" posts tend to take place somewhere in New York City and are usually called my NYC Street Diaries which really just translates to iPhone Shots I Want to Use Because I Didn't Have Access to My DSLR Camera. But, alas, this edition hit the streets of Allentown, Pennsylvania at the Great Allentown Fair. That's right everybody, Francesca Gariano was spotted at a state fair which is not very on brand for me. But the loaded fries and corn dogs? Now those are on brand for me.

(I did not consume loaded fries or corn dogs sadly, but I did have chicken tenders, cheese fries, and a watered down Diet Pepsi that I wished was Diet Coke)

But Francesca, why were you at a fair? And why were you in Pennsylvania? And why were you wearing pigtails unironically?

One, I was seeing the love of my life Niall Horan. Two, I was seeing the love of my life Niall Horan. And three, I was seeing the second love of my life Maren Morris and we must have telepathically communicated because she was wearing pigtail braids too. It was fate, I'm telling you. Pure, unadulterated fate. Why else would I have the sudden urge to braid my hair into really crappy loose braids when I could have taken the extra time to make nice dutch braids that wouldn't have needed to be taken out right before Niall's set because I bopped my head around way too much and loosened them up to the point that my nonexistent layers were somehow popping out?

I spent my Labor Day weekend split between New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and very briefly Brooklyn and I wouldn't change it for the world. It's no surprise that I love seeing Niall perform and maybe I went a liiiiiiitttle too hard during his set (it might have included trust falls with my friend slash roommate slash person who took these photos and wanted everyone to know it) but does any of that really matter throughout the day? I had an hour and a half of pure bliss and happiness and anything I could have ever wanted in life and I wouldn't trade that brief feeling for the world.

I could continue to rant and ramble but you know what, let's just let this be a photo diary and let the pictures speak for themselves.

Though, disclaimer...ignore the bandaids on my arm and wrist. I took a little tumble earlier in the day trying to run out of a two-seater car because I had been holding my pee in for over an hour and really had to go to the bathroom. I made it, don't worry, but I did have to send my roommate out for bandaids while I awkwardly waited in the bathroom trying to clean out my bloody wounds in the sink of a 24-hour grocery store. An unexpected injury, of course, but you know what? It only adds to the story. And by story, I mean this blog post and statuses/captions on my social media channels.
