Yet Another Teddy Bear Coat

I fully intended on rambling about something in this post, but my mind kept popping up blank every time I sat down to write it. I mean, after last week's Being the Face Behind the Blog post, I'm pretty chill with keeping things a little on the light side for a couple of weeks. So, I'm stepping out into the snow in a bright pink sweater and yet another teddy bear coat because it was on $25 and I have zero self-control when it comes to H&M and things that are on super sale.

The snow was here in full force, but alas, it rained last night and now there are only spotty remnants of what could have been a white Christmas. Who knows if it will snow again before next week. Well, I'm sure the local weather team would be able to give me the answer, but I'm far too lazy to (a) look up the weather on my laptop and (b) my phone is across the room and I just got comfortable at my desk chair. It's a hard knock life being a fake lazy person, which would be a person who isn't actually lazy but is in a stage of their life where their motivation is so low that even walking across the room is a struggle.

Too serious? Too serious. Moving on!

So yes, it's true, I bought another teddy bear coat. I got mine in a more orangey-brown shade last month and decided that maybe a light tan color would be a good idea too. In my defense, I will never live anywhere that a jacket isn't necessary at least eight to nine months out of the year. Might as well have a little fun with my outerwear since it's the only thing people are going to see until May. Though, it was semi-warm enough to not wear this sucker buttoned up to the top. Honestly, the hat wasn't even necessary but I can't remember the last time I styled my hair and admittedly, it was still a little wet in these photos because I don't blow-dry my hair.

Seriously.

I hate doing it. So much. One day last week I showered in the morning for some reason, but needed my hair to be dry, so my lovely mother dried my hair for me. Yes, I am a 22-year-old adult who lived essentially on her own for four years and my mother blow dries my hair for me.

I'm really nailing that whole "being an adult" thing.

I must say, moving on to a different subject, that sometimes patience is key. This sweater was originally $35 which like, I guess in the grand scheme of things isn't that much, but I don't really want to buy a bright pink sweater from H&M for $35. I just don't. I was eyeing this up the first time I was in New York with my friend Maddie back at the end of September but didn't cave because my money was and still is too limited for that.

And then, the heavens parted and all of that really cool symbolic imagery and I found this sweater at H&M last week for $10. TEN DOLLARS. My patience is rare, but this time, it paid off. Will I use this as a lesson in the future? Probably not. It comes once in a blue moon and I think I used it all up for the next twelve months. Oh well!

In true Francesca fashion, here's a blooper of me clearly struggling to either put my jacket back on or take it off so you could see my cool ass sweater. Either way, it looks like I'm stuck and I find it more hilarious than I should.
