Ohio City: The Flying Fig

There's no text that I like better than a "hey, want to get brunch?" text. What would have been another routine Sunday of making a trip out to Target and Aldi for groceries got a little bit of a makeover, adding in a quick brunch run beforehand. After discovering that there was going to be an hour and a half hour long wait for the original brunch spot we were going to head to, we made our way back over to Market Street to see if The Flying Fig had any open spots. They function on reservations, but we were lucky enough to snag two bar seats, which worked out perfectly!

I loved the relaxed vibe of the restaurant! Where we originally were going to go for brunch is also a very cool place, but it was crowded and loud. The Flying Fig was quiet, but not too quiet where eating becomes awkward. There was a nice buzz of conversation in the room without being too overpowering. Plus, their playlist was hilarious and great. Somehow, they transitioned into "Pony" and I nearly lost it. Such an add song to hear at brunch and yet, I was completely fine with it.

Location: 2523 Market Avenue, Cleveland, OH
What to drink: Mimosa (made with Cava and orange juice)
What to eat: Avocado toast with house chips
