I Offered You My Dad's Leather Jacket

Arkells lyrics for the win, am I right? Cleveland is full of incredible street artwork. Over the past year or so, street murals have been painted on the sides of old buildings, my favorite around the Ohio City area. The other day, my roommate and I drove past this incredible mural and knew we had to stop by again to take some photos by it. Don't be fooled by the cropped photos. This thing was massive. It spanned the entire side of the building from bottom to top.

I'm normally not one for "casual" jackets. I bought this leather jacket from Zara back in November to start wearing out on the weekends because I didn't have any "going out" appropriate outerwear and I live somewhere where outerwear during the fall and winter is absolutely necessary. I kept this look really simple with a tight black turtle that I got from Target ages ago. It's my trusty turtleneck during this time of year. I use it on its own, but mostly to layer with other pieces! The jeans are just a pair of boyfriend jeans from Gap and my booties are Madden Girl.

I'm usually not a skull girl by any means, but for some reason, this scarf was speaking to me when I was putting this outfit together. I feel like it just adds that extra touch to a somewhat simple day-to-day outfit! I believe it's from Nordstrom BP, but I also could be totally wrong. And what better way to spice up a look than with a great red lip? The one I'm wearing is Jungle Red by NARS and I applied it it my crappy car mirror, so I'm glad it didn't look too horrible here.

Surprise, surprise, I wore my Quay sunglasses with this look! I also popped on my Zara patchwork bag because it's just such a punchy and funny addition to any outfit.
