Things I'm Loving

And we are back to our regular Thursday programming, finally featuring some current faves of mine!

 1. The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

I've seen this movie a dozen times, so I figured I might as well get the book and see what it's all about. I'm not finished with it yet, but come on, you only have to read the cover to know that this is going to be killer, honest, and hilarious. Plus, what better way to crawl out of your reading slump than with this gem of a book?

2. OPI My Favorite Ornament

This is, hands down, my favorite glitter polish. It's the perfect champagne/gold that applies opaque in one to two coats. It dries quickly, doesn't clump up in weird spots, and is just the most glorious pop of sparkle that everyone needs in their lives.

3. Dermologica Daily Microfoliant

The combination of winter and my topical treatments from my dermatologist are absolutely killer on my skin. What used to be combination, leaning more towards oily, turns into a dry flaky mess once the temperature drops. Luckily, it's nothing that a simple exfoliator can't fix and I've been adoring this one as of late. I got it for Christmas and it's different than any product I've used before. Basically, you dispense this powder onto your fingertips, dampen your other hand, and then create a paste by rubbing your fingers together. And then you know the drill, apply the exfoliating paste onto your dry areas to rid the area of dead skin. It's amazing, I swear. It's just creamy enough so that it doesn't damage your skin, but the other exfoliators I've used have just been too creamy and gentle. Plus, I like that it doesn't have a super strong scent!

4. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Stockholm

This is my mom's least favorite lipstick of mine, so naturally, it's one of my favorites. One thing I will say is that if you don't line and fill in your lips with a darker pencil, you're going to have to layer this one to get it to its full intensity. But once you build it up, this color is killer. I straight up feel like a bada$$ when I walk around with this color on and for good reason, I think. It's a gorgeous deep purple, bordering black and it's the perfect color for a winter day.

5. Delirium by Ellie Goulding

How in the sam heck did it take me almost two months to listen to this album in full? HOW?! I love Ellie Goulding and I especially adore her transition from electronic pop to just straight up pop. If you haven't noticed, I've been all about that pop music lately and I'm not against it. It makes me happy and I'm enjoying it. Just like I'm enjoying this album (like that segue?). It has the perfect combination of songs that make me want to skip, bump and grind (AKA swaying my hips while I'm in my room by myself), and belt out the lyrics in the car while I'm crying (I'm looking at you, "Army" and "Love Me Like You Do.") If you haven't given this album a listen...do it...DO IT.

To listen to: "Army," "Around U," "Something In The Way You Move," "Codes," "Don't Panic," and "I Do What I Love."

What have you been loving lately?
