Things I'm Loving

1. Being home

I'm so excited to be home after a rough semester. I've definitely been enjoying my time off, though I start working again today! It's nice having people around and being in my own room, especially since my turquoise walls are a lot more inviting than the plain white walls of my dorm! I'm also really really enjoying being able to burn candles once again.

2. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

I picked up four of these (oops?) on a recent trip to Ulta and so far, I'm enjoying them! They remind me of my melted lipsticks from Too Faced, but they come in a tube with a removable doe foot applicator and are more solid and creamy. Hence the name, I suppose. I picked up a pastel pink, a bright orangey red, a muted hot pink, and a muted like...mauvey coral (I'm not sure how to describe it). Once I test out the colors more, I'm sure I'll talk about them in detail! I've heard that the lighter shades are nicer than the darker, more wintery shades, so if you're curious I'd say they're worth testing out for the price. They even sell some at Target now!

3. Aztec printed running shorts

I ended up having to buy these shorts during my last day at work because it was too hot to wear the outfit I had packed for my last day in Cleveland. I love the printed "running short" trend so much. They look cute but feel like you're wearing Nike or Adidas running shorts. They give the comfort of athletic wear but the style of normal casual clothing. Plus, THEY HAVE POCKETS. Anything with pockets wins my heart.

4. The Middle season six finale

It's no secret that this show is one of my absolute favorites, if not because I am actually Sue Heck. The end of this season signified the end of The Year of Sue, which was arguably one of my favorite years of the entire show. While everything appeared to be going totally wrong for Sue in last night's episode, like most things in life, everything worked itself out and I ended up in tears because SUE HECK IS EVERYTHING AND SHE DESERVES TO BE APPRECIATED AS SUCH. Plus, Axl had me in stitches as usual. All in all, it was a great season finale and I'm excited to see what happens in the next season starting in fall with Sue and Axl at the same college.
