Things I'm Loving

1. Mockingjay

I actually saw this movie a week and a half ago with my friend Heather (we see all of The Hunger Games movies together, as I borrowed her books to read them quite a few summers back.) I was not disappointed in the slightest by this movie. I mean, it has been a while since I've read the book so I'm not entirely sure about the accuracy (everything else has been pretty close, aside from Peeta not having a prosthetic leg and the Avoxes not being bigger parts), but I thought they did a brilliant job. There was not a second where I wasn't sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next scene. "The Hanging Tree" still haunts me. Also, props to Lorde for curating the soundtrack. Job well done, homegirl.

2. "i" by Kendrick Lamar

This might seem like a really weird favorite, but I'm just glad I can finally put the name of a song to the sound. Kendrick Lamar put on a free concert outside of the Q on the Cavaliers opening night and I was walking through and heard him perform this song. At the time, I didn't know what it was, but I really liked it. Alas, this was playing on a Spotify ad! I just think it's a really cool tune.

3. Red pedicures

I've had the same color on my toes for the past month because I just think it looks so cute and classy. I mean, it's winter, so I'm not exactly walking around with sandals on or without socks, but for those times when I'm lounging in my room, it's nice to have manicured toes. I've been using OPI's Big Red Apple as of late.

4. Macaroni and cheese

Okay, I can explain. So, I never eat macaroni and cheese when I'm at school because I never feel like making it and there's no place on campus to get it. However, when I went home for Thanksgiving break, I gorged myself on it. I went through boxes on boxes, and even ordered some of the best mac and cheese that I've ever had from a restaurant called Mooney's. The side order could feed an entire family, no joke.

5. Urban Decay's F-Bomb lipstick

I got a mini size of this for a 100 point perk from Sephora and I will, no doubt, purchase the full size. It's such a gorgeous bright red. It's perfect for the holiday season and doesn't require a lot of reapplication.

6. Spotify premium

Spotify has a promotion going on where you can get three months of premium for $0.99, so you can bet your bottom dollar that I signed up! I didn't realize how annoying ads were until I've gone through a couple days of not having any interruptions. Now I can listen to my playlists not on shuffle when I'm in the car! This will make ventures back home a lot more interesting...
