Things I'm Loving

1. "Steal My Girl" by One Direction

This song is seriously like a hybrid of Journey's "Faithfully", Train's "Drops of Jupiter" (the na na na's  anybody?), and New Found Glory's "It's Not Your Fault" (as slightly rudely pointed out by Hayley Williams). It's clearly not their best song, and I don't really like the idea a girl belonging to somebody, but aside from that, it's extremely catchy and I like dancing to it. If I can dance to it, I usually love it. Definitely excited to see what else is going to come from this mysterious album Four.

2. Tove Lo

More specifically, the songs "Habits (Stay High)" and "Not On Drugs". I have not been able to get these songs off of repeat or out of my head.

3. "Budapest" by George Ezra

Also known as the happiest song on Earth. Stumbled upon this gem by accident and have been bobbing my head to it pretty much all week.

4. "Take Me To Church" by Hozier

I'm sorry that I have so many song favorites this week, but I have just been enjoying a bunch of songs lately! This particular song has its normal version and on Spotify there's a live session that I might like even more.

5. Solo dance parties

I only have two days of classes every week while my roommates have classes 5 days a week. That leaves me a glorious three days (and the weekends) to be in my room by myself. While most might use this time to walk around without pants (which I do as well, if we're being honest), I use this time to have dance parties. By myself. It's a great way to de-stress, exercise, and just have a bit of fun!

6. Cooking for myself

I by no means can cook. No college miracle has happened. BUT I have been making myself rices and pastas more often instead of turning to the market place or snacking for hours to make an entire meal out of it. My favorite easy meals are Rice-A-Roni rice pilaf, regular pasta, and ravioli.

7. Pumpkin chai lattes

While I'm not a fan of regular chai lattes, I am a massive fan of pumpkin lattes, so I took a chance on a pumpkin chai latte and I do not regret it for one second. It's really like a pumpkin spice latte, but less sweet. So if the overwhelming sweetness of a PSL is too much for you, try a pumpkin chai latte!

8. The Fault In Our Stars and One Day (movie versions)

Last Friday I was scrolling through Netflix and stumbled upon One Day. I'd tried reading the book a couple of years ago and sort of gave up. However, it seemed like an innocent enough choice to watch on a Friday night in my room by myself. This was not the right choice for that, but I did thoroughly enjoy it aside from bawling my eyes out at the end. I even got past Anne Hathaway's English accent! It was all for Jim Sturgess...

On Saturday night, I figured I might as well have a nice little cry fest again because, well, why not? On my last trip home I picked up The Fault In Our Stars on DVD because John Green is my absolute favorite and it seemed wrong not to own the DVD version of one of his books. I forgot how great that movie was and how much it broke my heart. My favorite scene is Isaac's speech with the robot eyes (I'm trying not to give too much away!)
