Things I'm Loving

1. Water

I drank a lot of water at school. Like, a lot. About 2 liters worth a day. It was mostly because I was too cheap to buy anything else and I'm not a big soda person. I'd have the occasional green tea, but other than that, I was on the water bandwagon. For some reason, I find it much harder to drink water at home! It's not that I drink other things, I just usually don't drink anything at all, which is weird! I don't know what changes in me that makes me not want to drink anything at home. But, I've fallen back into the habit of drinking water consistently throughout the day and I haven't felt better!

2. Butter and sea salt popcorn

Holy-moly, I don't know how I lived this long without this popcorn. Sea salt tastes amazing as a seasoning. I don't care if it's good or bad for me at this point, it's so darn good.

3. Harry Styles

I don't know what has come over me lately, but I've been really into Harry Styles. He has slowly been replacing Joe Jonas in my heart for the past few years. This is going to sound weird. It's inevitable. But he's a fascinating person! Listen to him in interviews or find gifs of what he says on stage. He's just a very interesting person and is insanely talented. Okay, and his strikingly handsome face and knee-weakening smirk don't hurt either.

If you don't know, I'm a Spanish major. Also, if you don't know, I'm American and speak English. This makes for a rough time when I'm not in school and consistently speaking Spanish. To eliminate those first few weeks where I'm sitting in class repeatedly going "Qué?" (translation: what?), I've been using this website to keep my skills fresh and test myself without having to scrounge the internet for other resources. If you want to learn a new language, I highly recommend this website! It has about 12 languages (in the English speaker section, at least) and it's a really easy way to teach yourself.

5. Playing the piano

Once upon a time in 10th grade I took piano lessons. I took them for a little over a year and 9 o'clock on Tuesdays because of my sports schedule. It was the best and worst year of my life because I actually learned how to play the piano correctly rather than me just winging it and hoping for the best, but I had freaking piano lessons at 9 at night. I had to quit my junior year because it became too much with schoolwork and soccer that I never had time to practice and it wasn't fair to my teacher. I stopped playing all together shortly thereafter because I got frustrated that I wasn't as good as I was when I was taking lessons (duh, Francesca). For some reason, I printed out some new sheet music about a month ago and have been slowly trying to teach myself how to play again. Right now I'm struggling with "i giorni" by Ludovico Einadui, but I love playing again!

6. Market Peach candle

This candle is heavenly. When I burn it, my whole house smells like (no surprise here) fresh peaches. It's strong, but not overwhelmingly so. It's a very sweet and fresh smelling candle that is perfect for a summer afternoon, especially with a nice cross breeze blowing through your house to disperse the scent.
