Things I'm Loving

1. Coffee

Being home is the greatest because I don't have to pay for coffee every morning--I get it for free! In all seriousness, I like being able to have a cup of coffee in the morning before I go to work and I've been taking advantage of my parent's coffee machine and the Tim Horton's bags that we keep in stock all the time. I like my coffee with French Vanilla creamer and a little bit of sugar.

2. Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

These feel so cool. It's kind of like paper mache for your nose that eliminates black heads. I use them a couple of times a week and have noticed such a difference. They smell nice and are extremely effective.  Score!

3. Sunshine

I'm quite certain that sunshine was on my list of things that make me happy, and since it is practically already summer the sun is out in full swing (well, sort of). I'm usually trapped in an office during the prime hours of the day to sit out and enjoy it to its fullest, but getting a glimpse of sunshine out of the big windows in the office is enough to get me through until the end of the work day.

4. Jergen's Natural Glow

Speaking of sunshine…since I haven't been able to lay out in my yard yet this year, sans the one hour I did lay out extra paranoid that I was going to get stung by a bee on Sunday, my skin is still in its lightest winter shade. Alas, I have found a self tanner that smells nice, doesn't streak, and actually works. Seriously, I cannot get past the smell of this stuff. It doesn't smell like any other self tanning lotions that I use, and that is a good thing. I can walk around the next morning (I do it at night after I shower and exfoliate) without being embarrassed that I smell like vile tanning lotion. A+ Jergen's!

5. J. Crew Skimmer pants

I'm picky about pants. Jeans are easy (AE jeggings through and through, or BDG from Urban Outfitters), but dress pants have always been a struggle. I've tried pairs from Hollister (sit too low on the waist) and even pairs from American Eagle (too long), but I've failed at finding dress pants that aren't neon or mustard corduroy (sorry Gap…). On a whim, I tried on a pair of Skimmer pants from J. Crew on Memorial Day because they were my favorite print (see: Easter dress) and I had time to spare. I nearly cried in the dressing room because they fit perfectly!!! This was a great moment in my life because pants aren't supposed to fit me. At least, that's what I was convinced of. I currently only have my floral printed pair, but will definitely expand my collection because they are so comfortable and, as I said, fit properly. J. Crew, killing it since 1983.

6. "Good Girls" by 5 Seconds of Summer

I cannot go a day without listening to this song at least 5 times (hah!). It's so catchy and it's fantastic to sing along to. Ashton Irwin (or Luke Hemmings, honestly I'm not picky), please love me? This is an open invitation and I suggest that you take it.

7. Lush shower gel in Snow Fairy

My aunt/godmother/Fairy Godmother bought me this for my birthday when she came up in November with my mom and their/my best friend Joan. I can't describe scents well, but to me, this smells a lot like the bubblegum lip scrub (also from Lush). It has slight sparkles in it, lathers nicely, and honestly smells amazing. I've been slowly chipping away at it since and will definitely repurchase this scent if it's released again when the holiday collection comes out.
