Becca Beach Tint Duo

I cannot resist the display of sample products in the front of my Sephora. I don't know if it is the mini products that draw me in, or the fact that I love spending money that I don't have. You tell me. The same trip as my Nars extravaganza, I found this duo and had to get it. Rachel Whitehurst raved about the Becca Beach tint in grapefruit so I knew that this duo was going home with me the second that I saw it. Rachel is my Dalai Lama.

The set comes with two mini tubes of Beach Tints. To the left there is the shade Watermelon and to the right, Fig. Both of these smell AH-MAZING. I occasionally wish these were edible, they smell that good.

Watermelon looks a lot more intimidating in the tube. You could build it up to that color if you wanted to, but I prefer it as a sheer red. It gives you a nice flushed cheek without making you look like a clown or Pikachu. I like wearing it on my lips as well because it gives you a little color without being a statement. Fig is a tea rose shade and perfect for a neutral look. I have some trouble getting it to show up on my skin. I still have a little bit of a tan from summer (somehow?) and it just doesn't like showing up no matter how much I put on. If I use Fig, I usually layer it with my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed or my Nars Sin blush.

Overall, I like this for a day that I don't have time to come back to my room and apply another layer of it. Generally, these last pretty long if I don't touch my face a lot (which I usually do, I can't help it).

I know that the full-sized Beach Tints are $25 bucks each, but the set was only $16 for two samples. If you were curious about these, I would go for the duo set so you can test the waters with the product.

What are your favorite cheek stains?

  1. Hello,

How long have the beach tints lasted you?

    1. Right now, in the winter time, I get a good 8-12 hours depending on how much I touch my face (it's a bad habit, eek!). When I wore these when it was hotter out, I did find the wear to be a little shorter, but I have oily skin so that may have affected it. Setting them with a similar color is a foolproof way of making sure they stay put, but without one the wear is better than must cream/liquid blushes I've tried. :)
